From March 28 to April 17, 2025, the Aula of the Art Academy of Latvia (AAL) will host the Polish contemporary painting exhibition "The New Generation", organized in collaboration with the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Riga.

The exhibition will feature works by five internationally recognized young-generation Polish artists – Martyna Czech, Anna Grzymała, Martyna Borowiecka, Julita Malinowska, and Bartosz Czarnecki.

The new generation of Polish painters represents one of the most significant and dynamic developments in contemporary Polish art. Although this movement is relatively recent, it has already gained widespread international recognition.

From April 28 to May 10, the Art Academy of Latvia (LMA) will host the spring open studio sessions. The event program will offer an opportunity to explore the latest academic results in art and design. Prospective students and other interested visitors are welcome to attend.

Special Program

On May 1, 2, and 3, student works from the Painting specialty’s Bachelor’s and Master’s programs will be exhibited in the academy’s hall, as well as in the corridors of the 1st and 2nd floors (Kalpaka Boulevard 13). On these days, visitors are welcome from 11:00 to 17:00.

The academy will be closed on May 4 and 5.

The students of the Fashion Design program at the Art academy of Latvia (LMA) invite you to the most exciting fashion event of the year – the annual LMA Fashion Show, which will take place on May 22 at 20:00 at the Riga Film Studio, Šmerļa Street 3, Riga.

On this evening, the audience will have a unique opportunity to experience the boldest visions and most creative experiments of young designers. This year’s motto, "I AM FASHION", will highlight individuality, self-expression, and fashion as a manifestation of personality.

"I AM FASHION" means that I am more than just clothing – I am a lifestyle, a way of thinking and expression. I am both an invitation and a challenge – to explore, discover, and redefine myself. I am art and design that live, breathe, and evolve with time!
