Sholarships
Students are provided with all kinds of support during their studies. The various scholarships available at the AAL motivate students and faculty for healthy competition and productive work.
- STATE SCHOLARSHIPS
MONTHLY scholarship which is awarded based on student's average grades from the previous semester or admission exam evaluations.
ONE-TIME scholarship which awarded to AAL students, with successfully passed courses, once a semester, in order promote higher study achievements, scientific research, growth and participation in AAL’s public life, as well as to widen the access to higher education.
- NAMED SCHOLARSHIPS
LAURA STRODE scholarship which is awarded once in the academic year in fashion design, for high achievements in the study process, in the amount of EUR 1000.
VILHELMS PURVĪTIS scholarship which is awarded once per academic year to a graduate student from the field of visual arts in the amount of EUR 200.
KĀRLIS ZĀLE scholarship which is awarded once per academic year to a graduate student from the field of visual plastic arts in the amount of EUR 200.
ADOLFS IRBITE scholarship which is awarded once per academic year to a graduate student from the design field in the amount of EUR 200.
UNTITLED scholarship which is awarded once per academic year to a graduate student in the field of audio-visual media art in the amount of EUR 200.
BORISS VIPERS scholarship which is awarded once per academic year to a diploma student in the field of art science In the amount of EUR 200.
VALDEMARS TONE scholarship which is awarded once per academic year to a student for a study trip abroad to improve professional qualifications.
- COMPETITION SCHOLARSHIPS
ERASMUS+ scholarship for studies or practice opportunities abroad, as well as for staff experience exchange and teaching.
KUNO Baltic and Nordic art universities cooperation network scholarship for training courses, internships and studies, as well as staff experience exchange and teaching
CIRRUS Baltic and Nordic cooperation university network scholarship for training courses, practice and studies, as well as staff experience exchange and teaching
SEB SCHOLARSHIP IN PAINTING exhibition of student’s artworks; a scholarship is awarded by SEB Bank in cooperation with the Art Academy of Latvia for a trip to one of the European contemporary art fairs and participation in a creative workshop in the city where the fair takes place.
BREDERLO-VON SENGBUSCH exhibition of student works with the competition for a prize; the prize is awarded by the Von Zengbush family in cooperation with the Art Academy of Latvia, "Domus Rigensis" and the German-Baltic Scholarship Fund for students of Painting, Sculpture and Graphics departments of the AAL.
PATRON INARA TETEREVA SCHOLARSHIP IN ART In 2010, patron Ināra Tetereva and her husband Boris Teterevs founded a family charity fund with the intention of supporting excellent charity initiatives useful for the society. The fund also provides support to the field of education. On April 4, 2012, Borisa and Inaras Teterevu Foundation signed a memorandum of intent with the Art Academy of Latvia on cooperation for the next five years to strengthen educational excellence.
