From June 9 the fifth Art Academy Diploma Candidate exhibition will be open to the public – everyone is welcome to see the work of new artists, the result of several years of studies. The exhibition will include work by both BA and MA students from all departments at LMA.

This year the comprehensive exhibition, comprising the work of over a hundred artists, was part of the study process from the very beginning and is a collaboration between the organising team and all diploma candidates.

The organising team of the exhibition consists of students from different departments at LMA and this is their process of learning to produce an exhibition – from concept to graphic and visual identity. Meanwhile diploma candidates acquired experience in working with space and exhibition scenography, working on the arrangement and display of their own artwork.

Along with extensive displays of art at the LMA buildings at Kalpaka bulvāris 13 and Kronvalda bulvāris 4 with work by 106 artists on show, the exhibition also branches out to two separate group shows located at Skolas iela 18 and Brīvības iela 40, as well as a solo show at LOOK! gallery – each with its own character, scenography and visual identity.

Between June 16 and 18 the diploma candidate exhibition will extend to include the International Performance Art Festival – this is the second time LMA has the honour of hosting this event.

The exhibition is open to the public from June 9 to July 2, 2023, Thursdays to Sundays between 13.00 and 20.00. Closed on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, as well as between June 19 and 28. Locations: Kalpaka bulvāris 13 and Kronvalda bulvāris 4.

DESIGN DAYS 2023
Exhibition of work by students and graduates of LMA Faculty of Design. The exhibition is open to the public from June 13 to July 7, 2023, Tuesdays to Saturdays between 13.00 and 20.00. Closed on Sundays and Mondays. Location: Kalpaka bulvāris 13.

EXHIBITION “BREASTSTROKE, BACKSTROKE, BUTTERFLY”
LMA POST MA programme diploma work exhibition. The exhibition is open to the public from June 2 to June 29, 2023, Wednesdays to Saturdays between 14:00 and 19:00. Closed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays, as well as between June 19 and 28. Location: Skolas iela 18, Riga.

EXHIBITION "THE FENCER'S ROOM"
Solo show by LMA BA graduate Katrīna Biksone. The exhibition is open to the public from May 25 to June 17, 2023, Tuesdays to Saturdays between 13.00 and 19:00. Location: Ģertrūdes iela 62A, Riga.

VKN DIPLOMA CANDIDATE EXHIBITION
The exhibition is open to the public from 6 June to June 16, 2023.
Mondays to Saturdays between 16.00 and 19:00.
