Working at the Institute of Art History since 1993. / Co-author and editor of the multi-volume publication “Art History of Latvia”. / Lecturer (“History of Art History”, “Analytical Writing”), BA, MA and PhD supervisor, Doctoral Studies Board member at the Art Academy of Latvia. / Certified expert in the history of art at the Latvian Council of Science. / Corresponding member of the Latvian Academy of Sciences.
Research interests: Art and artistic life in Latvia and elsewhere the Baltics (c. 1850–1940), history of art history.
Other fields of activity: editing of art history texts.
Education: Janis Rozentāls Riga Art School (1983–1990), Art History Department of the Art Academy of Latvia (BA diss. “Pastel in Latvian painting in the late 19th and early 20th century”, 1994; MA diss. “Pēteris Krastiņš”, 1996; PhD diss. “Johann Walter (Walter-Kurau). 1869–1932”, 2011).
