Lifelong Learning Programme ERASMUS.
Lifelong Learning Programme ERASMUS was established on basis of "Socrates", "Leonardo da Vinci", "eLearning", "Europass" and other programmes of European Commission. Aim of the programme is to support exchange and cooperation between educational establishments in EU. The programme lasts form 2007 to 2013 and it is the single programme involving all stages of education and training concentrating on persons in every age. The programme has 4 sub-programmes: the Comenius programme, supporting actions for schools (from pre-primary schools to upper secondary or equivalent) , the ERASMUS programme, supporting exchanges between universities and colleges, etc.
Art Academy of Latvia has been member of Socrates/Erasmus since 1998 and it has developed its′ contacts every year.
Bilateral agreements connects the Academy with 74 partnership universities in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Netherlands, Iceland, Estonia, Great Britain, Ireland, Denmark, Belgium, Lithuania, Poland, Switzerland, Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey and Rumania proposing improvement of knowledge for the students and lecturers.
There have been also some interesting cooperation projects with partner universities.
Lifelong Learning Programme ERASMUS offers such activities:
• Student exchange;
• In-service training course in companies abroad;
• Lecturer exchange;
• Exchange of experience for employees. |
